Keith Kahre assumed office as Scott Township Trustee in May 2021. Prior to becoming trustee, he served on the Scott Township Advisory Board, giving him experience with township budgeting and oversight. He currently serves as the executive officer of the township government and oversees township assistance, parks, cemeteries, and the township's role as the provider unit for the fire department.

Kahre's administration has overseen:

• Continued expansion and maintenance of Scott Township Park.

• Continued operation of Scott Township Ball Park.

• Ongoing maintenance of township cemeteries.

• Administration of township assistance programs for eligible residents.

• Oversight of the township as the provider unit for what became the Vanderburgh County Fire Department through the merger of Scott Township Fire & EMS and German Township Fire Department (effective 2025).
